News of the masque, in a dispatch sent home by the Tuscan ambassador

bound in to a collection of letters from 3 Jan. 1618-10 Dec. 1620. The two extracts
are from pp. 1 and 2.

His Majesty
the King
came back to
London
to spend Christmas here as usual with the
Queen
and
the Prince
. At court, I hear nothing else but that they are preparing
the Prince
’s masque, along with other festivals which are usually performed at Christmas.
