a’ mio tempo si leuo’ di corte l’ Ambasciatore di Francia per non esser stato inuitato
ad un banchetto, che essendoci andato quel di Spagna, doue hora non ui sono ambasciatori

Translation
In my time, the French ambassador left the court because he had not been invited
to a banquet to which the Spanish ambassador had been invited. There are now no ambassadors
on either side.
