among payments for Taskworks; concluding note of charges for the masques. Note:
the payment of 50 shillings to
John de Creete
may refer to Campion's The Masque of Squires,
performed 26 December 1613. The main scribe enters the
date and other details in the endorsement; only Goston's signature is entered later.
The
sum spent on Taskworks is illegible in E351/3248, and is therefore transcribed from
AO
1/2420/44. This MS is also calendared under Challenge, and some of this material is repeated
there.

Artificers worckmen and Laborers ... for worckes and alteraci ons in
preparinge and fyttinge the Banquettinge house againste three Maskes to bee
performed there
