National Archives, E351/3248, fols. 3v, 5 and 5v
Pipe Office, Works
(Another copy of NA, AO 1/2420/44, fols. 4 and 6)

Entries among payments relating to works carried out at Whitehall in the Declared Accounts of the Paymaster of the Works, Andrew Kerwyn , from 1 Oct. 1613 to 30 Sept. 1614. Presented by Margaret Kerwyn , Andrew Kerwyn 's widow and administratrix. Preparation of the banqueting house; payment to John de Creete among payments for Taskworks; concluding note of charges for the masques. Note: the payment of 50 shillings to John de Creete may refer to Campion's The Masque of Squires, performed 26 December 1613. The main scribe enters the date and other details in the endorsement; only Goston's signature is entered later. The sum spent on Taskworks is illegible in E351/3248, and is therefore transcribed from AO 1/2420/44. This MS is also calendared under Challenge, and some of this material is repeated there.
