Translation

As for the festivities, besides the masque which I have already written about, a tilt was run face to face on New Year’s Day, according to their style. The clothing and liveries were very rich, and the triumphal chariots were a most beautiful sight and a great expense to the knights. On Sunday they ran at the ring. The King and the Prince ran, and did well.
