Minutes from a meeting held on 2 Oct. 1604 relating
to the appointment of attendants at the
Lord Mayor
's installation, agreement on the
nature of the pageant, and etablishment of a committee to make preparations for the
show. In a folio-sized vol. of minutes from 20 March 1583 to 4 Dec. 1652.

Battchelors to attend the Lord Maior
Also it is ordered that there shalbe lxxxx or C persons of the Yeomanrie of this Companie such as are best able and likeliest men for
the service appointed to be Bachelors to attend on the Lord Maior on the daie his
Lordship shall take his othe at Westminster and at other tymes as hath ben accustomed viz: 40. in Foynes, and the rest in Budge,
and otherwise well apparrelled, and also Crimson satten hoodes.

Triumph.
Also that there shabe a faire Pageant Chariat and a Lion. twoe Gallies fire workes banners streamers and all other thinges provided in a readines against that daie for the Honor of this Cittie, and the worship
of this Companie according as it hath ben don in former yeres.
Comittee to raise money to defray this charge
And for the better effecting of this service, It is ordered that
Mr Wardens
with the ayd of
Mr Caldwall
Mr Arnold
,
Mr Collymore
Mr Cade
Mr Hickman
Mr Offley
, and
Mr Marten Bond
or any fowre of them shall forthwith make choise of such Bachelors as they shall thinke
meete in their discretions, and assesse them to bring in such monyes towardes the Chardges as shalbe thought needfull for this buisynes.
