A record of payments to Meredith Morgan for masques, in the form of an independent
note written sideways beside a more extensive tally for rents received over the past
ten years for Rowell and Orden in Northampton. The account appears on the recto of
a single unfolded sheet. Morgan was a former official in the household of
George, Earl of Dunbar
. He then became one of the servants of the Exchequer, distributing funds for masques.
