A supplie of 400li for the fynishinge of pageauntes shewes & raylinge of the streetes
At this Common Councell yt is enacted graunted and agreed by the Right honorable the Lord Mayor Thald ermen his bretheren and the Comons in this Common Councell assembled and by the aucthoritie of the same That for the full performance and finishinge of the pageantes shewes and Raylinge of the streetes on both syde from the Tower to we Temple barr that are to be prepared and made againste the passage of the kinge and queenes most excellent Majesties throughe this Cyttie and other Charges and services about the same the some of Fowre hundred poundes shalbe forthwith Leavied by all such of the seuer all Companyes within this Cyttie as heertofore weare assessed to contribute for and towardes the said services And that all the said some of 400lishalbe payde to Mr Chamb erleyne of this Cyttie to be imployed for the said services And that the said some of 400lishalbe rated vpon all the said Companies proporcionablye by the Comyttees formerlye appointed by acte of Common Councell for thies services And that preceptes be forthwith directed to the said Companies for the present payment of the said somes of money to the said Mr Chamb erleyne accordinglye

For 400lito bee paid by the seuer all companies for Charges against his Majesties passage through this Cyttie and rayling the streetes.
Where by act of common Councell holden at the Guildhall on thexiiijth Day of this instant moneth of FebruaryeIt was enacted graunted and agreed by the right honourable the Lord Maior the Aldermen his brethren and the Commons in that Commen councell assembled and by the authoretye of the same That for the full perfourmaunce and finishing of the Pageaunts shewes and rayling of the streetes on both sides from the Tower to Temple Barre that are to bee prepared and made ready against the passage of the king and queenes most excellent Majesties through this Cittie and other charges and servyces about the same the somme of Fowre hundred poundes shall foorthwith bee leveyed by all such of the seuer all Companyes within this Cyttie as heretofore were assessed to contrybute for and towardes the payment of other sommes of money formerly agreed vpon to bee paid towardes the said servyces

to haue the Rayles in a redynes & garnished with azure blewcloth
Theis are in the king es majesties name straightlye to charge and Comaunde you that you haue your Rayles in a redynes for your Companyes to stand in and to be sett vp in the streetes against Tuesdaye next at the furthest And that you haue your Rayles garnished with Azure blewe Cloth in the best and statlyest manner as formerlye in like solempnityes hath byn accustomed And that you likewise provide v wifflers at the least to euerye score of your liuer y the said wifflers to stand with white staves in their handes and Comly apparelled with their backes to the Comm en Rayles throughe which the king es Majestie shall passe And for the better ordringe of your standinges you shall observe with quietnes the same order in standinge in your Rayles as you haue heertofore vsed And heerof se you fayle not at your per ill thisxth of march 1603

That noe bell es should be runge on the daye that his Majestie should passe throughe this Cyttye
Theis are in the king es majesties name straightlye to charge & Comaunde you that callinge before you the Churchwardens or paryshe Clark es of euerye seuer all parishe within your warde you take precise order with them that thaye suffer noe ringinge of bell es to be on the daye that his Majestie shall pass throught this Cyttie vntill yt be vij of the Clock that night For that the noyse therof may be offensyve and hinder his Majestie from hearing of such speches as shalbe deliuered to his highnes wherof see you fayle not at your perill thisxijth of march 1603

Thies are in his majesties name straighthe to charge and Comaunde you that you appointe tenne able and substanciall howseholders inhabitinge within your warde to guarde and take care of the Pageant in ... to thend that noe pagent be permytted to stand in the said pageant on the daye of his majesties passage throughe this Cyttie but such as haue therwith to doe for feare of Pestringe and overladinge the pageant ... Pageantes. Other committees appointed to ioyne with the former.
At this Common councell yt is enacted graunted and agreed by the right honorable the Lord Mayor the Aldermen his bretheren and the Commens in this Commen Councell asembled and by auctorytie of the same That the Comittees which weare formerlye appointed by this Corte or anye sixe or more of them to take Corte care for the providinge and furnishinge of the Pageantes raylinge of the streetes and other thinges employed against the kinges Majesties royall passage throughe this Cyttie callinge vnto them Mathias Dolman Iohn Sr<xx> haberdashers George Speringe goldsmyth Iohn Highlord Thomas Middleton skinners Robert Ienkinson Thomas Iohnson marchauntaylors and Thomas Groome Cutter or anye fowre or more of them shall take order aswell for the taking downe of all the said Pageantes carying them into some fitt and Convenient place of saftye as for the sale of them and of the rayles postes and other thinges vsed in that service at the best and highest rates they can for the most benefitt and v advauntage of all such of the seuer all Companyes as contributed towardes the charge of them
