Quarterage payment (membership dues) by Jonson to the Tylers' and Bricklayers' Company   , 18 October 1596 , in the Quarterage Book for 1588-1616. Jonson might have still been paying the reduced, half-rate of two pence per quarter (cf. Life Record 5), and, if so, the payment covers two quarters. The Quarterage book is a folio-sized record of quarterage payments by guild members. It is unfoliated and arranged chronologically.
