St Magnus Martyr is in Lower Thames Street, originally standing at the north end of old London Bridge. It was originally built in 1176, and rebuilt by Wren following its destruction in 1666.

'A City thoroughfare no longer extant, which in 1918 ran from near the corner of Cannon and King William Streets to Miles Lane' (Chalfant, 61).

There is almost no documentary evidence relating to Anne Lewis , other than the three recusancy citations (L1606_20, L1606_30, L1606_50) in which she appears, unidentified save as Jonson 's wife.
