Met twice with JL to go over remaining issues.
Thomson multimedia - existing page is broken so fix it. Try to create a subsection of Home section (ideally first) to house it, like the viking site. We've tried to create the pages and sections but can't get it to work. In fact when we regenerate the site we appear to be introducing errors.
News Page updates - part of GUMICH site, regenerate site ensure it's current
New GUMICH site - no French pages yet, also links are to wrong places, JL will get PSZ to fix that. once that's done I can manually upload - orphaning the site in the CMS
New Robinson site - I'm trying to obtain large and larger versions of the images from Pszpak, once that's done I can manually upload those into the dev site and then I'm ready to transfer from dev site to prod site
Load revised pages - Naomi to tell me which sites to regenerate
Curriculum/province - pages to be provided by John to go within GUMICH
NE sent me an email saying she had created a file 35/6152 to host the video stuff we did months ago. I had to regenerate the site twice to get the file to appear. I now have to figure out how to put the media player and controls into that page. Once that is working then I have to make parallel changes in the file in the database so that if the site is regenerated all the necessary code is regenerated. The actual data files etc. will not be housed in the CMS, but only in the directory tree of the development site (and thus in the production site when the dev site is copied over).
Further issues: Formerly, on the index page in the archives section, a link to that 6152en.html file was being created when the site was generated. I changed the section attribute for the 6152 file from archive to multimedia and the link wasn't created when I regenerated the site, but then no new 6152 file was created either. I set that attribute back to archive and the 6152 file is newly created and no link to it from the index page was automatically created. I manually added a link to the file in the index page. I've also added an iframe element to the 6152 page which points to the html page hosting the video player on the production site. That page will have to be rejigged to fit into the template width of the Thomson site.
NE would prefer to add a link in the navbar to the left for the archive section, but I have no idea how that is being generated, how the existing elements in that list get there, nor how to add an element to that list.
Adding this one multimedia page is consuming a lot of hours.
