Scott Woodcock asked to modify list of courses suitable for applied ethics program. Added those and then changed from list of "p" tags to nested lists of "ul" and "li" tags. Then found a couple of invalid bits elsewhere in the page and fixed those.

Wrote a set of simple search and replaces to normalize the data and provide explicit field delimiters
Wrote GREP search and replaces to extract subject codes, publication dates, event dates and cemetary plots and populate the appropriate field in each record
Wrote javascript method (quick and dirty) to provide "derived" publication and event dates for those records lacking one or both of those pieces of information and to normalize the dates to a format acceptable to SQL
Still need to do a bunch of simple search and replaces on all the topic codes and abbreviations found in the text
Wrote John Lutz with a number of questions remaining to further normalize the data (on page numbers, records that consist of aggregates of a number of actual newspaper articles over numerous issues etc).

Karin sent us a link to a WIKI page for our code review. Unfortunately, links to the content from that page don't work because Alastair is no longer a user. A link to the documentation is to a tarred-and-gzipped archive containing Word and Excel files, which is a bit of a showstopper. Asked Karin to post plain text versions of the documentation and link them from the WIKI page, so we can all see what we're supposed to see.
On Laurel Bowman's instructions, modified Q 21 of Wheelock exercises 13.2.
Meeting to discuss the scope, nature and purpose of a code review of the client program written by Alistair for the ETCL. We will undertake a brief review (a couple of hours) of the client application and report back to the ETCL. Karin will supply relevant URLs to code, WIKI etc. to Stewart, Martin and Greg, and Stewart and/or Martin will do the review.
We had a bug report before Christmas about 13.2, Q 21, so I checked into it. The report said it was impossible to answer correctly, but I'm able to enter either "ipse" or "ipsa" and have it accepted as correct. If I enter "ipse", it tells me "ipsa" is also correct, and vice versa. Wrote to Laurel and the person who reported the bug for clarification.
