Reviewed the first of five DH2009 papers assigned to me.
Stewart Butterfield was having technical issues, so we were asked to bring a bunch of bits and bobs and ourselves to ensure no problems in the presentation room.
Attended his presentation to students on utility of Humanities education for an entrepreneur.
Worked on this too.
Interesting DH postdoc project trying for SSHRC funding with RS's support: http://wcwp.english.dal.ca/. Greg and I went along to the presentation.
Both Greg and I volunteered to be research subjects, so I'm out of the office from 3 today (and back by four, I hope, but can't be sure). Greg goes tomorrow.
PAB came down to discuss her three PhD projects, which are quite ambitious, with Greg and I. They'll need both hosting and programming support from us, so she'll need to enlist some faculty muscle to grab a big enough chunk of our time. One will involve substantial work on the IMT.
Had a lengthy lunch with a researcher from Ritsumeikan University, who came to visit RS and EG-W.
