I started work on a jTEI-submission-xml-to-FODT-converter in XSLT on Sunday, and I've done some more today. It's working well; today I got tables basically working (although I'm sure we'll want to tweak them at some point), and I'm going to look next at <egXML>, adapting the code from MoEML. The last task will be base64 images; I'm going to have to do a conversion outside of XSLT, or perhaps rely on Saxon to do it inside Oxygen, where I can use the extension functions from the EE version. We'll see. Perhaps start with the latter, for simplicity's sake.
Meeting with Issue 8 editors, 7 am - 8.30. Did this from home.
Logging some time spent looking at options for the planned XML editing workflow, along with a bit of work on the CSS for Oxygen Author etc.
Met with the candidate for the library position, and also attended the presentation and discussed with various folks.
Went through all submissions received and identified candidate reviewers for them, ahead of editors' meeting on Thursday.
Skype meeting for Issue 7 reviews and outcomes.
We're ready to make decisions on Issue 7 articles. Now trying to arrange a meeting.
Final proofing for journal articles and discussions re problems with PDF output, going all day, alongside the usual highly stressful TEI release process, which also took all day. This time we were undone a few times by unexpected things arising out of the new server hosting for tei-c.org, as well as some broken links that hadn't been caught in the proofing stage, and finally a tei-c website outage at a crucial moment. All done now, though; 2.6.0 is out.
Encoded the telco meeting minutes from Jan 10 and posted them on tei-c.
Article proofing for Issue 6.
