Made some final tweaks to materials for the class, then tested things in the room itself. Then we taught the first class. Definitely a step forward from what we've done in the past; there are more tweaks that need to be done before Wednesday, though. In the template, get rid of dates with @when an textual content; choose one, and make sure the XSLT and the schema are fine with either as well as both. Add a slide to explain how linking works (or add it to the handout?).

Created several more how-tos, improved documentation, tweaked the poem rendering, reworked the package build script so that it creates and includes PDFs of the presentations, and did a variety of other fixes and updates. This has been a good exercise in building an Oxygen authoring package for a project, and we can certainly reuse a lot of the ideas for MoEML and other projects.

Worked all day on the encoding package for the English 500 class, learning how best to put together a project file with default validation and transformation scenarios, creating a template, scripting a build process, adding students to the personography, and beginning work on the documentation. I'll need to re-work the presentations from 2012 to create something more tailored to this purpose, and finish some how-to sheets (I've done one, and five more are planned).

Working most of the day on JTEI. Copyedited the intro to issue 7, worked on a couple of issues in the first encoded article for Issue 8, looked at, approved and copyedited a revised submission for Issue 8, put together a full report on Issue 8 status, chased up some revisions not yet submitted, and more.

Article back from author; did final edit and added to repo for RVDB to encode.

I've written XSLT to generate a helpful list of candidate poems for the English 500 folks to work on. I'm also working on a project file for them, which will include built-in validation and transformation, as well as a template file.

Did some more work on my interoperability proposal for DH next year. It's coming along.
