As asked by CC, I have begun to work on the Espines du Mariage text by Varin, which will involve the following:
1) proofreading transcribed text
2) tweaking formatting of text where needed
3) proofreading, writing, and linking references
4) writing notes
5) making list of all Greek texts that appear so that they can be sent to Greek Masters student for transcription/proofreading
On DR's instructions.
Added in the First Nations information where it's been tagged as <dc:subject> tags, and regenerated the records. This goes pretty quickly in the 1.4.1 version of the db; I should definitely move forward with the port asap.
Running some very long processes (generating 7000+ OAI metadata files in Coldesp) that I wanted to get finished before leaving. Then committed them to SVN, which took forever. Also on late duty.
Background reading and drafting of introductory material with GN.
Regenerated all the OAI records using my local version of the site based on eXist 1.4.1 (it seems to be faster, even without indexes properly configured), and also added a couple of links to the site as requested by CP, one to the Govlet site and one to the Libraries Early BC Maps page.
Generating these records takes a good while. I keep hitting little buglets in the XQuery which require me to restart the process. Hopefully we're pretty solid at this point.
In both the original texts of Bon Mariage and Ville Thierry, the table of contents appears in such a way that the chapter headings/descriptions are aligned to the left while the page numbers on which the chapters begin are aligned to the right. Because of this complex formatting, we cannot simply encode the table of contents as a list as we normally do. I discussed this with MH and he will reflect on how to deal with those texts.
