Based on an initial assignment of 46 properties to "generation 1" custodian sales (there are a few more to be decided, so more will probably be added), I've written an XSLT transformation that discovers and lists details of all subsequent titles which are from the "next" generation, in that they include properties which were transferred as part of the previous generation sales.

There are some complications: some titles include a mix of custodian and non-custodian properties. Still waiting to hear from JS-R and SF about how they would like to handle this; also, there's a strong possibility that even "pure" titles may have lost properties that were on the preceding title.

You're right, Strife is "Eris." The word being translated as "Riot" is "Kudoimos," which is a masculine noun (so probably not a goddess). This isn't a proper deity per se, just another of the personifications of which Homer is so fond. I think you could go ahead and make a new character entry for it.

The word being translated as "Fate" is "Ker." She's a death goddess, and needs a character entry.

nb: since we gave a character entry to Ossa (Rumour), it seems only consistent to the the same thing here.

My inclination is to say that Doris the daughter of Oceanus and Doris the daughter of Nereus are two different people. The lists of siblings given at Apollod. 1.2.2 and in Homer 18.28 are otherwise different; the only overlap is Doris.

For names that are not very famous or familiar to most people, I prefer spellings with ks. So, we aren't going to go around spelling it "Akhilleus" but Kymodoke is to my mind a nicer transliteration than "Cymodoce." I will find and repost the guidelines about this.

Using MySQL workbench on Windows I've managed to migrate the CGWP data in to MySQL. No testing yet, but it worked as far as I can tell.
Very rough notes on Workbench and ODBC:

Open ODBC admin tool
System DSN
Name: CGWP
Description: whatever
Server:Machinename\SQLEXPRESS - in this case GREGWIN7VM\SQLEXRESS
>>NEXT
How should SQL Server verify the authenticity of the login ID? With Windows NT auth...
Check the "Connect to SQL Server to obtain default settings..." box
>>NEXT
Leave these settings alone
>>NEXT
these too
>>FINISH

Start migration

Source: Microsoft SQL Server
Connection Method: ODBC Data Source
DSN: name you gave it (above)
Username: leave blank (remove 'sa')
>>NEXT
Target: MySQL
Connection Method: Standard (TCP/IP)
Hostname:127.0.0.1
Port: 3306
Username: root (unless you chose something else)

Select the MS SQL DB you want to import
Leave the rest of the choices as they are, but make sure to choose all of the tables, views, and procedures before the import
>>NEXT
You should have an import running

Worked for a while to get an optimal layout and behaviour for the Locations panel, after bugs in positioning reported by JJ and some weird scrolling behaviour in Opera. I think everything is now working except for an obvious bug in the Linux version of Opera. Tested on other platforms, including IE and Safari.

Chasing up people; half of a copyedit; and some emails.

Getting a list of "first generation" sales by the Custodian is easy; we just find titles on which the Custodian (owner #777) is the seller. There are 46. But I also took a good look through every mention of the Custodian, and found a whole pile of interesting, puzzling and anomalous titles which I've listed out with explanations for JS-R and SF to take a look at. Some look like they're basically Custodian sales mediated through third-party law firms; in other cases, Japanese owners actually acquire property somehow, and this is then very rapidly disposed of by the Custodian or by proxies. Interesting stuff.
