J.F. called to let me know that, following a request I put in quite a while ago, it's now possible to set up a regular website accessible through web.uvic.ca to use the PHP5 engine they've installed on a separate Linux box. They just need to know the details of the account to set up the redirects. This will be handy when we do rewrites of departmental sites in future.
Due to a VLAN issue some TAPoR sites which utilize virtual hosts were down for a few minutes. Sites like ISE, mariage, hcmc and so forth were affected. The issue has been resolved.
Tested this lot, and found they're too crude and blocky. Built another set of vectors based around the Nuvola document image; I'll build the bitmaps from these and update the dll at home tomorrow.
Took Monday morning off: unavoidable personal business.
Thickened up a couple of lines on the eight icons, and then added five of them into the dll, and rebuilt the dll. It now includes what we need for the IMT, so we can test the icons in context and see if they're acceptable.

Spoke with Greg about web site specs and creating poster session for Ewa's project. He agreed to do the best he can with the time he's got. We both agree the project is worth showing. I consider it high priority for now.
Followed up on abstracts. Got 3 more from researchers. Emailed others regarding details, and spoke to various people on the phone.
We met to discuss confidentiality issues and the blog. Outcome is that Karin or Ray will moderate postings for now, and Martin will follow the guidelines Ray and Karin outlined. Martin will post the guidelines in the blog (I think)--I don't have them here. The biggest concern is staying aware that these posting are completely open to the public.
Meeting with Marie Vautier went a bit longer than I thought, took a few more minutes to wrap up testing on some code for the Times-Colonist project.
Meeting with Scott, Ray and Karin caused me to run over a bit.
