Met with the ETCL folks, and got the following requests for fixes/changes/new features in the critical apparatus output:

• Sigla in the crit app should be clickable, leading to (or popping up) a proper MS description. This will be based on a mapping XML file for all the witnesses which Karin will supply.
• All readings from the same line should be displayed (initially at least) in one block, separated by a space 5ems wide, to conform with traditional practice. This should be switchable, though, because we have no space limitations and can give readers the option to see each item on a separate line if they wish.
• The user should be able to switch on orthographic variants, which are currently invisible.
• Instead of the word "Omitted", we should use "omit." in italics.
• Clicking on the line number should pop up a copy of the base text line, with the lemma highlighted (if possible -- this might be done with JavaScript).
• Karin needs to be a user in the DB, with permissions on the Devonshire collections, so she can upload apparatus files while I'm away.

Adding this as a task.

Racing for an end-of-the-month deadline, worked through the rest of the final article for volume 16. It's now back with John for proofing.

Spent a little more time looking at the cookie/login problem with the ISE folks. The issue is one of cross-domain cookies: if you log in through a script which runs on the Quince server, the cookie with the session ID is stored under quince.hcmc.uvic.ca; then this can't be read by any of the pages accessed through the isebeta Cocoon URLs, because of (quite essential) restrictions on cross-domain cookies in the browser. It's going to be vital for them to get all the PHP scripting functions to execute in the context of isebeta (or wherever Cocoon is) so that the session can be maintained.

JN: Processed Administrative tasks/paperwork required for Purchasing Dept.

The final task was building a page of thumbnails of images from the Study Abroad program, and linking the thumbnails to full-size images. Done and dusted, along with a final tweak to the Description page.

My second day on lates. Greg will cover the rest of this week. I should take some of this time off, but there are too many deadlines looming at the moment.

Greg needs to be able to merge a specific reg file into the registry on the lab client machines after they've been built; the file is named for the machine name, so I wrote a little console app that finds the name of the machine it's running on, then uses that to find and merge the reg file silently. Simple for Delphi, but apparently impossible in Ghost.

Hispanital sent Stew some changes for their Website, but he's away, so they sent them over to me instead. Made all the changes, but I'm still waiting on some images that should be linked from the page. Some Word documents are also linked from the page, and I turned these into PDFs for better portability, but the PDFs are rather large; might be a good idea to take another look at the options for exporting PDFs in OpenOffice to see if I can trim them down a bit.

Started building CSS for the Icohtec site, but it's a bit difficult without the images that are presumably on the way. Probably best to wait till they arrive, then pick a couple to base the style on.
