Continuing work on the conversion; spent some time clicking around to do a bit of an inventory of pages. Everything looks fairly straightforward. I also spent some time looking at the facsimiles and trying to come up with a good solution for how to convert them.
Added better handling for the LINKS1 page and rationalized how its content is included in other documents. Fixed up its simplePrint representation and then added it to the list of files to be converted to Lite (it was excluded but didn’t need to be; it validated straight away).
Late duty.
Another section of the script to convert text-field illustrators into one-to-many. The only remaining issue is how to reliably recreate existing field data in the form of relational links. This is likely to be a little bit risky because of whitespace normalization issues. It should probably be done after the other work is done, so that the SQL can be created using XSLT.
Setup done, metadata done, bibliography done. Some extra work resequencing biblio items which were out of order.
Decided to upgrade my desktop, and encountered a known common scenario whereby both gdm and lightdm seem to get borked and no GUI can be started. Eventually did a reinstall. Note to self: once email and browsers are properly set up and stable, move those home folders onto the spinning disk so that they don't have to get recreated when rebuilding.

Received request from CP in (P&A)to update site with new course information.
Requested documents be resent as pdfs.
Uploaded 2 pdfs, filed in assets, edited links, published pages; sent email to CP advising task completed.
Following a successful release earlier in the week, we're now able to undertake more significant structural changes to the repo and the build process. The first one, done today, was to split out the news page into separate articles, deal with the fallout, and add documentation.
