Incorporated KH's three additional paragraphs from our previous revision document; highlighted all changes in red, to make for easier reading; removed a few inconsistencies in earlier revisions; and kept moving forward. I think I might just finish tomorrow, if I have no interruptions, but the problem is that what's mainly required is a lot of additional examples. Perhaps I'll stop revising at this point, and just start adding the examples in a new section.

Made a couple of minor changes; posted the presentation on the HCMC site.

Meeting with UVic Ceremonies to plan the launch. Planning for AV will have to wait until May, when we can get down to Gov't House with KS to find out the lay of the land. In the meantime, following the meeting, KSW and I did some research on poster and foam board printing, since it's likely that some maps and pictures on foam boards might be a good alternative to projectors and screens.

I've met with PAB, and got XML files and images from her; the images have been uploaded to the myndir account. Next steps:

• Run mogrify -resize x120 to get thumbnails 120px high, for the browse page.
• Write XSLT to take the idno element content and add it to the root TEI element as the xml:id value (makes retrieval faster and easier in eXist).
• Create the site layout plan.
• Implement the plan in the sitemap file.

I'm doing a first pass through the TEI Guidelines 3.11, using a table to organize original sections, modified sections, and notes, as part of the ad-hoc committee work. Today I added a bug report to the SourceForge system (asking for monogr and analytic to be added to the content model of bibl, as the guidelines suggest they should be available there), and got about 18 pages of the revision document done. Long, slow, painful task.

I've created a Cocoon/eXist setup for the MyNDIR project, based on our regular eXist 1.4 build. I've set up the following structure inside the eXist db:

• myndir
  • biblio
  • names
  • vocab

according to PAB's specification in the December posting. I now need to get some data from her to start building the webapp.

AM's Shingle Cloud algorithm is something I'd like to test against the Universal Similarity Metric for the DH 2010 presentation. JC sent me a link to an abstract on it, which will be very useful when I prepare my presentation.

Yesterday was teardown, today was move and rebuild in our new location. Things went reasonably well, but we still have four computers to put back together in the RA room. Posting the hours so that we keep track of how much disruption this has caused.
