TE is working on the elimination of unnecessary hi elements, as a first (although pretty hard) XSLT project. Spent some time discussing approaches, and she had it working by the end of the day. Fixed the calendarDesc issue in simplePrint output (using settingDesc -- ugly but meh). Also fixed all instances of style attributes lacking a trailing semicolon, and implemented Schematron to prevent further instances. Lots of discussion of how to rework the teiHeader and split Stow.
Working on MoEML.
Since most of our work is now being documented in Asana rather than here, I'm just posting hours spent over the past couple of days of version 6.4 changes, discussions of changes to the teiHeader, build process rationalization, and a variety of other things.
I'd given BJ the wrong ip for the server to connect to Solr, so I wasn't able to get anything to work. That's now fixed, and I'm able to issue queries from the server using GET and get useful responses as expected. I still have a lot of work to do on the XQuery library for eXist to do this, though; it complains about the URL I'm contacting being invalid -- it has complicated query-string components that need escaping in various ways, and I haven't yet figured out the right combinations and escape mechanisms to get it working. Slow but steady progress.
This pushes us much closer to completion for volume 26.
Posting some time spent over the last couple of days writing and documenting an ant + XSLT script to convert the Newfoundlander transcriptions into "final" form for the generation of XML. GL's skills are moving forward.
