In previous discussion, we planned a search system which would allow people to search on actual forms in the database, or using a simplified ascii representation which would make it easy to avoid struggling with diacritics. I'm now in the process of trying to create a taxonomy of glyphs and glyph-combos which may appear in the db, and figure out how to map them to simpler forms.
