Just a little update of what I've been up to: I've finished the transcriptions of the xml files prepared up until now. I am noting interesting objects, gestures, vocabulary as I go, but I don't feel equipped to comment on much yet. I've also got my hands on a little bit of literature on marriage in the ancien regime, to give myself a little context.
