Even if you're not a hardcore geek, you'll probably find a handful of sites to make your day easier or more entertaining.
My choices? Dailylit.com, a site that promises to deliver a daily installment from one of the Great (free, public domain) Books. You sign up, select the book you want to read, and have it delivered daily in readable chunks.
I've used TripIt for some time to build itineraries when I travel. You simply forward your travel confirmation emails and TripIt builds a master itinerary complete with flight/hotel info, maps, driving directions, weather reports etc.
I also like Drop.io, a free service that lets me share large files with colleagues and friends.
