R&D printer problem

Posted by gregster on 12 Jul 2007 in R & D

The printer coughed up a new hairball today:

920 Service
Fuser Error

Clifton reports that he just had a printer do this and it was toast. I restarted the printer, cleared a jam, pulled and replaced the cartridge (both as a result of errors on the LCD), restarted it again, and it worked.

If Clifton is right we'll be shopping for a printer sometime soon.

Which brings up the point: what features will we want when we do purchase a new printer?
Stew and I figured that we'll want to at least address things like colour, duplexing, letter/legal/letterhead trays and the like.
