I'll be in this morning, but here are some observations looking at the site as a user. The menu sidebar is half in French, half in English. Home, search, text analysis, credits, project blog. (Accueil, Engin de recherche, Analyse de texte, Crédits, Blog du site) I'm not concerned at all that outside the welcome and documents pages, only the "Encodage" page in French. But it's a bit of a mess, with English left in in the first paragraph: "See the Schemas page for more details on this. Voir la page de schémas plus de plus amples détails." In any case, it should be "POUR de plus amples détails." Obviously, there is more work to be done here--the last part of the page is still in English--and I need to proofread. Has France done any more translation in the last while? Her alternative translations (2-3 versions of the same expression) are showing. I can adjust this quickly and finish the translation if necessary. I've told France that she can continue with the translation, paid on a hourly basis, until the question of her funding from the French Department for next year is settled. At that time, I'll offer her and/or a new RA a contract for the year. (Just went to an interesting workshop on hiring RAs on a grant.) I'll also prepare our over-all new budget in writing (probably while on the plane to Nebraska). The big problem I'm having this morning is that the annotations on the images are showing in such a pale shade of grey that they aren't readable... See you at 10! C
