Moving dev projects from Lettuce to Pear

Posted by mholmes on 23 Sep 2010 in Servers, R & D, Activity log, Documentation, Documentation

Tomcat-dev on Lettuce fell over again overnight, and needed a restart this morning. This prompted me to push forward with the plan to move all Tomcat projects from Lettuce to Pear, and I've now done that with Mariage, Coldesp and IALLTJournal. I refreshed my local copies of all of these projects (including the database contents), then copied them up to Pear's webapps-dev, then restarted Tomcat-dev on Pear (tomcat stopdev; [wait a good couple of minutes]; tomcat startdev; [note that it's jakarta-tomcat on Lettuce, but tomcat on Pear]).

Greg is now contacting the sysadmins to get the domain names re-pointed, which should mean that those projects go through the load-balancer, and thence to Mustard, which serves the content from Pear.
