Hi everyone, So, this past week I visited St. Michaels archives, and took pictures of school clothing from the time period, and scanned part of the principal's diary (the diary is on dropbox, I haven't yet posted the photos). The archivist at Glenlyon Norfolk was very nice, and provided me with the few photographs that survived from our time period of interest (these are on dropbox also). Mainly I found all the secondary sources for my themes, and started researching them. I also looked up all the attestation papers of the Canadian soldiers executed for desertion, and I found that one was working in Victoria as a sailor when he enlisted. I have also made a list of photos that I think would be worth digitizing at Victoria City Archives. Jim has asked me for a list of 100 photos from this archive, so he can talk to them about possibly allowing us to use them. I know that you guys likely will find things related to your themes in the archives, so feel free to add your suggestions to a masterlist (maybe everyone should use different colours). The hours are for Monday-Friday and part of this weekend. If possible, I would like to take most, or all, of Tuesday off to see someone graduate. I worked a few hours this weekend, but I can also work one day next weekend to make up on the lost time. I hope this doesn't inconvenience anybody. See you all tomorrow!
