Monday: Meeting, and then theme research for the rest of the day. Michael Carter emailed me the research agreement on Monday afternoon, and I had to call him to discuss privacy laws.
Tuesday: theme research, plus worked on completing the research agreement.
Wednesday: Prepared a final version of the agreement in the morning, which I showed to Ashley during our meeting at lunch. We discussed whether or not we would use pseudonyms, and how we would use any information we found about how soldiers interacted with the justice system in the database. We also discussed development of the digital archive. I did theme research at Victoria City Archives for the rest of the day, and then worked on the agreement some more.
Thursday: Put the finishing touches on the agreement, had it signed by Dr. Marks, and went to BC Archives, where I had another discussion with staff over a confusing finding aid. Then submitted it, and discussed it again with Michael Carter. Spent the rest of the day on research.
Friday: Theme research at BC Archives.
I have spoken to Carrie at Sisters of St. Ann's Archives, and she cannot meet with us to give us photos until July 25.
