How to get Fetch FTP to show system files (begin with .)

Posted by sarneil on 04 Jan 2008 in Activity log, Documentation
IN response to a question from the English department, I've figured out how to get Fetch to show system files. In Fetch 4 for Mac OS X, by default the GUI does not show any files that begin with the . character, for example .htaccess. To make those files appear: - Choose Fetch - Preferences - Select the Misc tab - Click the Obscure Options button - In the list that appears, check "Send list -al to Unix" - Save changes - Restart Fetch. This change also causes the . and .. folder items to become visible.
