Greek Question

Posted by sophie on 19 Jan 2015 in Activity log

Hi Lauren,

In Iliad bk 20.4 Butler uses the broad term nymphs but we don't have an overarching group name for all the Hesperides, Hyades, Oreads, Naiads, etc. Here is the Greek:

IL.20.7 There was no river who was not there, except only Ocean,

IL.20.8 there was not any one of the nymphs who live in the lovely

IL.20.9 groves, and the springs of rivers and grass of the meadows, who came not.

How should I mark up the group nymphs?
