Installed Adobe Acrobat and then (with Greg's help) figured out how to use it (specifically the Tools - Advanced Editing - Text Touchup tool and the Tools - Advanced Editing - Link Editor tool) to make the requested changes to half a dozen pdf files. The files were the notesfr.pdf files in mysteryquest 22 through 30 (pretty well all of them). The actual edits were very minor, and a good thing too, as Acrobat is obviously no text editor. Also tried exporting the pdf from Acrobat to a word file and editing it in word, but the running headers and footers were lost.
