Character: Ajax in Iliad

Posted by matthew on 08 Dec 2011 in Activity log

Quite often Ajax is mentioned in the Iliad without much context and so it is unclear whether it is referring to Locrian (character: ajax_1) or Telamonian Ajax (character: ajax_2). Ex: Agamemnon says in 1.140 "let some chief man among us be in command, either Ajax, or Idomeneus, or yourself, son of Peleus." For now I am going to leave these in the xml file marked up as <name type="character" corresp="characters.xml#ajax"> even though it will not bring up a description (since there is no character: ajax) wherever it is unclear, but I will mark up those that are obvious.
