On request from MH, I modified the searchresults code so that at the start of each record a link is created. When the user clicks on the link, then that record is loaded into the "edit record" page, ready for editing. Turns out that going back the other way would involve more substantial changes. MH says he works with two browser windows (one showing the results and one showing the editor), so all he does is reload the search window and he sees the updated results and that's OK for his needs.
