Introduction to Using HCMC Equipment
The HCMC offers equipment which you can borrow or use temporarily ranging from a digital still camera, through various presentation devices, to a full video-conferencing setup or a complete multi-media networked lab. Equipment can only be borrowed by faculty members in the Faculty of Humanities, by special arrangement.. We do not loan our equipment to students, or members of other faculties.
- We offer cameras, players, projectors and other equipment you can borrow
- If you are interested in participating in a video conference, we have a video conference setup which you can use.
- We also offer HCMC workstations for researchers, instructors and assistants to work on your project.
The HCMC offers its services at no charge to members of the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Victoria. If you are not a member of the Faculty of Humanities, please contact our Head of Research and Development to discuss your situation and how the HCMC may be able to assist. To maximize our ability to accommodate your request fully, please provide as much advance notice as possible. The demands on our time far exceed the supply, without advance notice we may not be able to integrate your request with the overall work flow. The amount of notice necessary varies with the size and complexity of your project - large projects may need months of advance notice.
