JSR and I had each submitted a couple of test proposals, but couldn't find where in the GUI one goes to see the listing of proposals. Turns out that the user must be a member of the "Director" role to get that ability. Being a conference manager does not give you the privilege and being a manager does not automatically give you all the privileges of a director, or author for that matter. The various roles are autonomous and not hierarchical, so a given user must be manually added to each role to have full capabilities. Took a bit of experimenting to discover that - I didn't notice in the online help about submission management capabilities that they are available only to directors and not conference managers.
